“Nothing in nature is ever the same: the skies, the waves, the land, and the colours.

Kate Beck’s drawings are poetic impressions of coloured perceptions, interpretations of personal experience of nature created from within and resulting in an oasis of inner calm and contemplation, but also mystery; not sombre, but positive and optimistic. They are encapsulations of intensity, intimacy, and peacefulness, in geometrical form. “

~ Piet Augustijn, Curator Emeritus of Contemporary Art, Gorcums Museum, The Netherlands, in his essay, Kate Beck and the Potential of Line
